Setup Rust Desk remote desktop

CXI uses Rust Desk for remote desktop to some sites. Should you want to gain access to your site via a remote desktop solution just ask and we’ll invite you and send out details specific to your site.

Once you have those details these instructions will help you get started.

Download and install Rust Desk

Go to https://rustdesk.com and click on the download button:

Then choose the file type depending on your Operating System - for most modern Windows systems choose the .exe file

Once downloaded run the application, this will run locally (it doesn’t install by default) so if you want to use it often select the install option found highlighted on the left hand side of the screen.

Now go to Settings > Network > Unlock Network Settings

Enter the IP address we sent you in the ID and Relay field.

Enter the long string key we sent you in the key field

Select Save and it should say successful. Setup is complete.

Using Rust Desk

In the Rust desk console enter in your sites ID in the Remote Desktop field:

When prompted enter the Remote Desktop password we sent you for your site.

Once connected login to the Windows desktop as normal and run your apps.
