There was a temporary key access issue in Canberra with a garden full of lockboxes.
Not one. Not two. Several - each one holding keys for Airbnb guests from the apartment complex and even different buildings across the street. Guests were travelling to a completely separate building just to pick up their temporary key!
Nobody planned it that way. It just evolved. One bad workaround at a time.
This is the reality of short-stay rentals in strata buildings across Australia. The building infrastructure that was designed for permanent residents was showing cracks:

Short-stay broke that model - and the industry's answer is lockboxes, lost keys, and strata managers drowning in access requests.
